Yerba Buena Island Landslide

Treadwell & Rollo provided emergency consultation to stabilize a landslide at Yerba Buena Island that resulted in closure of the western viaduct between the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island.  Emergency stabilization required placing granular buttress fill and installing dewatering wells and hydroaugers. 

Subsequent services included performing a geotechnical investigation, installing slope inclinometers and piezometers, performing slope stability and seismic deformation analyses, providing design criteria for a drilled pier and tieback buttress wall, and providing foundation recommendations for a structural roadway that spans across the stabilized landslide.
