Treadwell & Rollo provided environmental, geotechnical and seismic services for 555 Mission Street, a project consisting of a 33-story, 485-foot-tall office building over two underground basement parking levels.  We performed a geotechnical investigation and developed recommendations for foundations, dewatering and lateral earth pressures for temporary shoring.  We also performed a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis to develop site-specific response spectra.  Services during construction included observation during installation of shoring and underpinning, permeation grouting and installation of pile foundations.

Environmental services included a Site Assessment and Site Characterization to assess the presence of hazardous materials in local "earthquake fill" (backfill using debris from the 1906 earthquake and fire) that would now be disturbed during construction activities.
