Treadwell & Rollo performed the geotechnical investigation for the Walt Disney Family Museum at Buildings 104 and 122 at the Presidio in San Francisco.  Buildings 104 and 122 are two-story brick buildings each with an attic and a basement.  Building 104 is "U"-shaped and Building 122 is roughly "L"-shaped.

Both of the buildings were renovated and seismically upgraded by adding shotcrete to existing walls.  The development includes the construction of a two-level addition in the courtyard of Building 104, and a sub-basement below Building 104.

Our services consisted of performing a geotechnical investigation, including borings and cone penetration tests, at the site, providing geotechnical consultation during final design and construction, and providing geotechnical observation and testing during construction.
