Sun Microsystems

Treadwell & Rollo performed geotechnical investigations for construction at the Newark manufacturing campus and provided geotechnical evaluation for protection of the Union Sanitary District force main lines passing through campus.  In addition, our engineers investigated measures to reduce liquefaction potential and settlement, including ground modification techniques, stiffened shallow foundations, and deep foundations. 

For the Menlo Park development, we provided recommendations regarding foundations, site seismicity and seismic hazards, surcharging, earthwork and pavement design.  Our staff also provided geotechnical services during construction.

For the Santa Clara Agnews facility, our staff explored subsurface conditions at new building sites and provided geotechnical recommendations for the new campus and roadways.  We performed Phase I construction services, including site grading, utility placement, footing excavation, and parking lot and roadway preparation.  Our team provided construction observation and consultation services during construction at all three campuses.
