Treadwell & Rollo performed the geologic hazard evaluation and geotechnical investigation for the proposed Campus, which includes the Hospital and Medical Office Building. The Hospital, which will occupy a city block, will be seismically designed using viscous dampers.
Since excavations between 40 to 60 feet will be required, maintaining stability and limiting excavation-induced deformations are key to site development. Our investigations included evaluating geologic hazards and subsurface conditions, developing conclusions and recommendations regarding geologic, geotechnical and seismic conditions. In addition, our team provided recommendations regarding geotechnical aspects of the design and developed site-specific ground motion design criteria. Our report for the hospital was approved by the California Geologic Survey.
