Treadwell & Rollo is providing geotechnical and environmental consultation for this 70-acre shoreline development of a former landfill.  The project consists of four six-story buildings, a hotel, and a large parking structure.  Our geotechnical services included investigation, consultation on foundation type and earthwork, regulatory agency coordination, and landfill cap system design.  We performed geotechnical analyses of a nearby levee and materials inspection and testing services for a nearby intersection.  We currently provide geotechnical construction observation and testing services. 

Environmental services included methane mitigation systems design, including a vapor barrier beneath the structural slab, a passive vapor collection and venting layer beneath the membrane that can be converted to an active system, and an automatic methane monitoring system inside the building. 

We provided construction administration and inspection services during installation and prepared an operation and maintenance manual.
