Treadwell & Rollo is providing geotechnical services during design and construction of the new Brentwood Civic Center project in Brentwood, California. Treadwell & Rollo performed a review and value engineering evaluation, supplemental geotechnical and environmental explorations, and are currently providing services during construction of the City Hall and Community Center Buildings. Construction of the Parking Structure has begun, and we will be observing installation of the geopiers.

Other site improvements include relocation and installation of underground utilities, pavements, sidewalks, and a new city park. The pavements include both traditional and permeable asphalt concrete pavements, and concrete interlocking pavers.

The project consists of a two-story Community Center, and one- to three-story City Hall buildings, and a four-story concrete parking structure with the bottom level partially below grade. Due to the presence of a relatively thick near surface weak soil layer the structures are founded on improved soil.

The City will be pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification for the Civic Center buildings.
