Engineering runs in the family DNA. 
For Sigrida, engineering has always been a fundamental part of life. Her father was a civil engineer, and her mother was a mechanical engineer-the only woman in her graduating class, in fact. Strong familial influences and scholarly will led Sigrida through the completion of her doctoral research at UC Berkeley where she developed alliances with her future colleagues at Treadwell & Rollo.
With more than 20 years of consulting and academic experience, Sigrida has served in construction management and environmental engineering roles for numerous, complex remediation projects for public and private clients. She has designed vapor mitigation systems for new structures on closed landfills and Brownfield site redevelopments as well as existing structures on sites undergoing remediation. Additionally, Sigrida has an expertise in decision analysis and probabilistic cost estimating, which she describes as her most gratifying work due to the valuable results it has yielded for her clients.
